Hiding is not enough: in both traditions the primal book is assigned a DEATHLESS GUARDIAN · a pair of appointed angels, an eternal serpent · and in both the deposit sits with respect to water (preserved through the flood / sunk beneath the river) rather than destroyed by it. The guardian never reads or takes the book; it only keeps it. Feeds the archive's serpent thread and canon finding 9 (the serpent examines and departs, never takes).
God, planning the flood, assigns Enoch's 360 books a standing guard: 'I have commanded my angels, Ariukh and Pariukh, whom I have appointed on the earth as their guardians... so that they might preserve them so that they might not perish in the future flood.'
